So without further ado, let's get to those swatches!
The Craft Culture Collection consists of 8 polishes, three of which are cremes and the rest of which are shimmers. The colours are very earthy and I think they all work well for fall. Overall I thought the formulas for the polishes were pretty good; I used two coats + topcoat for each swatch.
Brass Button is a gold shimmer polish. While I felt that the first coat went on a little thin, two coats was plenty for full coverage.
Brick Knit is one of the three creme polishes in this collection. As the name suggests, it's brick red in colour. I wasn't a huge fan of the formula for this one; I found that it was an odd combination of too thin and too gloopy, but this may have had more to do with my application than anything else. Either way, two coats was good for full coverage.
Denim Patch is the second creme in this collection. It's blue-grey in colour and looks a little darker in person than the photos would lead you to believe. The formula for this was great; full coverage in one coat (though I still used two coats for the swatch for consistency's sake). Really love this colour for fall!
Fern Flannel is a shimmery forest green with blue undertones. I really love this colour but I can't comment much on the formula because I just used the manicure I got at the launch event for the swatch.
Hand Fired is a shimmery red-copper colour. One coat would have almost been possible with this polish, but I found that it does this thing that I've found a lot of metallic polishes do. it's like the polish drys really quickly and if you go over a spot that you've already painted the polish drags a bit and you end up with semi-bare spots. Not the biggest issue since you can just kind of dab some more polish there with the brush, but this is definitely something I've noticed with metallic polishes (across many brands).
Leather Satchel is shimmery brownish-bronze. I found it had the same drag issue that Hand Fired did, but two coats is good for full coverage. I also thought that it looked like it almost dried a little matte (pre-topcoat).
Oxblood is a deep-red creme polish. I thought the formula for this was a little thin and so I probably should have gone with three coats (as you might be able to tell in the swatch, the polish is a little lighter and thinner near my cuticles). I really love the colour though; deep reds are just so perfect for fall!
Patina Buckle is a shimmery purple with warm undertones. I thought the formula for this one was good, two coats works for full coverage.
And that brings us to the end of the swatches! What did you guys think? Which colour was your favourite? Which one would you want to wear for fall?
I'd just like to thank CND Canada and ASC PR once again for inviting me to the release event and letting me try out all of these cool polishes! Before I go I just wanted to share a few photos from the event!
