For day six of Fashion Week we were asked to pick a dress from the Fall 2016 Runways to recreate! I chose a gorgeous dress from Marchesa's Fall 2016 RTW Collection for the occasion!
I love the dresses in this collection; they're all super pretty and delicate looking!
My original plan when I saw this dress was to just paint roses, but upon closer inspection I noticed that the flowers were all beaded. Since I have a few different colours of caviar beads, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make the nail design beaded as well!
That's right, I had to place all of those beads individually and yes, it was as tedious as it sounds (the end result is definitely worth it though!) I feel like it turned out looking kind of princess-y; it kind of reminds me of sleeping beauty!
I'm not sure if you can tell, but I did a bit of a gradient on the middle and ring fingers under the beading; thank you to my mom for having a ridiculous amount of sheer nude polishes for me to choose from for the gradient! :P The polish I ended up using was a pretty old one from Sally Hansen and I'm pretty sure it was from a French Manicure set.
I also took a behind the scenes pic (with my cellphone, so please excuse the lighting) so that you guys could see a bit of the process behind the mani!
