I Wanna Dance

Well would you look at that, it's time for another Music Video inspired manicure!

The short version of I Wanna Dance by Super Junior's Donghae & Eunhyuk was released this past week, and since SuJu is my bias group, a manicure needed to happen.
I had a bit of a hard time picking out outfits and sets to recreate this time around, but I think I found some pretty good ones.

Eunhae's video is so fluffy and cute, I hope I captured that with this design!
Fun facts about this manicure, I redid both the thumb and pinky on my left hand because I wasn't happy with the original designs. I tried to recreate Eunhyuk's green jacket on the thumb and one of the backup dancer's shirts on the little finger, neither of which turned out the way I planned.
But I think everything turned out alright in the end ~

Like usual, if you want to see the exact scenes used or if you're interested in the (many) products that went into the making of this manicure you can find them under the cut by clicking on the "Read More" button!

30 Day Nail Challenge, Day 14: Floral

I use this design relatively often for pedicures, so why not turn it into a manicure for this prompt? The stripes on the thumbs are a little thicker than the ones on the rest of the nails, I'm not sure which way I prefer, but either way I think these nails look really cute for the change from spring to summer!

30 Day Nail Challenge, Day 13: Animal Print

So. Animal Print.
I've dabbled in animal print before, such as in Days 2 & 3 of this challenge, as well as in my Why So Serious? manicure, however I'm labeling this as my first manicure fully dedicated to animal print.
I've been wanting to try this leopard print for a while, though I've never had the time. It's a lot easier than I thought it would be.
I'm still loving the studs from born pretty store, and I've found that they stay on for a much longer time if you put a top coat on over top of them. They will stay without, but the top coat significantly increases the number of days the studs will stay adhered.

Products Used:Revlon - 955 Quick Dry Base Coat
Rimmel London - 100 Base & Top Coat
Sally Hansen - 03 Dune
Essie - 624 Mink Muffs

30 Day Nail Challenge, Day 12: Stripes

Whoops, I forgot to post this update last week, sorry about that!
I tried to do something a little different for this prompt, so instead of just doing normal stripes, I made them into mini bar codes! The little numbers were killer, what with all the little curves, but I think they looked half decent, (on my left hand).

Products Used:
Revlon - 955 Quick Dry Base Coat
Rimmel London - 100 Base & Top Coat
Rimmel London - 110 French White Nail Tip Liner
Sally Hansen - 300 White On

30 Day Nail Challenge, Day 11: Polka Dots

Polka dots were the first of the pattern prompts, and I ended up deciding to redo a design I tried over the summer for it. Having dotting tools made this a lot easier to do, but it's still a surprisingly labour intensive manicure since you have so many layers.
My choice of colours was mostly due to the fact that I've had these two Essie polishes sitting around not being used and I thought this would be a good chance to test how they look out of the bottle.

Products Used:
Revlon - 955 Quick Dry Base Coat
Rimmel London - 100 Base & Top Coat
Essie - 680 Master Plan
Essie - 608 In Stitches
Essie - 941 Good As Gold
